Welcome to Afrikan Goddess (AG) Online - the online publication designed with the educated, professional, classy and sassy African woman in mind. At AG, we hold a strong conviction that education and empowerment of women are investments vital to any progressive society. In that light, AG strives to empower African women to transform and reinvent themselves through positive thinking and self-assertion. Our online publication encourages women to express their creativity and ideas through writing, and serves as a platform for meaningful discussions and exchange of ideas.

AN AFRIKAN GODDESS IS:

A woman of  African descent who possesses  a female power so authentic and self-sufficient. A woman of African descent who sets her own pace and dances to the tune of her own music. She is innovative, intelligent, and one of a kind.

Afrikan Goddess acknowledges that there's a goddess in every woman. A female power so forceful that has been silenced over years of denigration and inferiority complexes imposed upon black women, by the invasion of western standards of beauty and other western cultural influences. Silent criticism from people of all races - including our very own - of our outward appearance has been prevalent for years; this has in turn affected the way we view ourselves on the inside. Afrikan Goddess seeks to empower African women, the world over, to reclaim that power, and to reclaim their sense of skin-pride, natural intellect and rich cultural heritage, that makes us so unique.

WHAT WE'RE ABOUT

our mission is to :

  • Bring to the limelight the amazing achievements of African women the world over.
  • Encourage African women to openly and freely discuss issues that affect them.
  • Enhance awareness of the rich cultural heritage of African women.
  • Introduce the unique elegant beauty and lifestyle of African women.
  • Encourage the expression of creativity and ideas through writing.
At Afrikan Goddess:
  • We put our readers first.
  • We communicate openly and honestly.
  • We uphold authenticity in all our publications
  • We act with integrity and keep our promises.
  • We take pride in our work.

Men Are Welcome

We love men, and men are welcome to participate. But, at Afrikan Goddess, women rule. These are our views and our words uneditted and uncensored!

Afrikan Goddess was established with one goal in mind – to be the best publication  out there with a primary focus on African women.
